R.O. Pickard Environmental Centre – Primary Clarifier Upgrades

The project consists of the removal and replacement of all existing cross and longitudinal chain and flight sludge collector systems in fifteen (15) primary clarifiers.  Also the upgrade of associated electrical and instrumentation systems and replacement of three (3) PLC panels.

Patenaude Pumping Station & Forcemain

Client: Melanie Construction, Township of Russell
Location: Patenaude East Subdivision, Embrun, Ontario

The project involved the construction of a new pump station and control building with a seven (7) metre deep excavation for new gravity sewer.  Five (5) kms of 300mm diameter sanitary force main by directional drill.

Rideau Canal Regulator Chamber Upgrades

Client: City of Ottawa
Location: Ottawa, Ontario

An upgrade was made to the existing storm and sanitary sewage system, including bypassing of sewage flows, caisson installation, access shaft installation, monitoring ports and drop pipe installation, new control vault, isolation and modulating gates, instruments, controls, commissioning and testing.

This project received the 2012 Public Works Project of the Year Award. This award was presented to the City of Ottawa by the Ontario Public Works Association for the “Real Time Control Implementation and Flow Regulator Upgrades Project”.
