Bray Employee Feedback

“I worked for LWB from 2012 to the spring of 2017*. I left and was hired back in 2019. The values, respect, integrity and collaboration of this company is something that I have never experienced within my 18 years of working in heavy civil construction. My time spent with Louis W. Bray Construction from 2012-2017 was like no other. You matter here. This company gives you a feeling of purpose and of being a part of a second family. I’m glad to be back on the team and looking forward to grow with this amazing company for years to come.”

Thomas Morency, Site Superintendent (with Bray since 2012*)

In my 38 years with Louis W. Bray Construction, it’s the variety of work that keeps me motivated. In my experience, never have two days been exactly the same. From laying pipe to pumping stations, bridge building to culvert re-lining, the only constants are BRAY’s honesty and integrity to the quality of work and their loyalty to employees.

Joseph Wheeler, P.Eng, Site Superintendent (with Bray since 1980)

“I love working at Louis W. Bray Construction because my opinion is respected and considered in decision-making. Each project presents unique challenges that have allowed me to grow and evolve both personally and professionally. A lot of work has gone into establishing a positive corporate culture where you feel supported as part of the BRAY team.”

Gaspare Mangiaracina, PMP, Project Manager (with BRAY since 2011)

Louis W. Bray Construction is a tight knit team, where no one is a number. Working where everyone knows your name gives a great sense of satisfaction.

Robert Bergeron, L3G (with BRAY since 2013)

“The personnel employed at this company have great knowledge and experience of the heavy civil construction industry, which is a great asset for you to develop your skills and gather the experience required to succeed. BRAY strives for excellence and provides the necessary training and challenges for its employees to ensure we continually develop our skills.”

Stéphane Desjardins, Assistant Project Manager (with BRAY since 2015)

“Being an Estimator at Louis W. Bray Construction is challenging and always interesting. I have the opportunity to work on different types of projects (bridges, water/wastewater, etc.) all over Ontario – from Cornwall to Thunder Bay.  Each estimate has its own challenges and I work closely with and can always draw on the many years’ experience of Louis W. Bray’s Superintendents and Project Managers to come up with economical and practical solutions. It is rewarding to see a project that I estimated get completed safely, on budget and on schedule.”

James Dineen, GSC, PQS, Senior Estimator (with BRAY since 2015)

From office staff to field staff, everyone gets along and we seem like a big family. BRAY offers a lot of room for personal advancement and gives you a chance to grow as the company grows.

Kevin Currier, Foreman (with BRAY since 2002)

I love the challenges that heavy civil construction presents. Louis W. Bray Construction has the people as well as the resources to overcome challenges efficiently and effectively.

Andrew Wheeler, Foreman (with BRAY since 2008)

“From my first day here at Louis W. Bray Construction Ltd., I’ve felt like part of the family. The staff at LWB was remarkably unique as they were able to make me feel like part of the team and gave me opportunities to grow my knowledge & experience. As a Junior Project Coordinator, I was taught the entire process of construction from the tendering process straight through until project completion and handover. This gave me a unique experience and better knowledge compared to other placements. The time spent at LWB has shown me how a successful company operates, and I look forward to future opportunities with LWB.”

Travis Smith, EIT, Project & Quality Control Coordinator (Co-Op Student 2016-2017)
